It was a dusky evening, and i was fortunate enough to visit this akhara at practice time. It is one of the most prestigious akharas of Delhi inclusive India, run by Guru ji Capt. Chand Roop. It has a well-maintained wrestling pit where 5-7 pairs of wrestlers can practice at the same time. It also houses a gym and a separate place for mat wrestling. This well-known akahara has produced many Bharat Kesari, national level and international level wrestlers.
