KATRA, Jan 28: Wrestler Gurlal of Amritsar lifted the 4th Annual Akhli-Buttan Kesari title by defeating Farooq of Sarore, Jammu in a neck to neck bout at Middle School Buttan in Reasi.
The event was organized by Akhali-Buttan Dangal Committee, under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of senior vice president District Reasi Indian Style Wrestling Association, Pappu Lakri and president Akhli-Buttan Dangal Committee, Deepak Sharma.
Treasure Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and member J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest who distributed cash prizes among the winners and runners-up wrestlers.
Winner was presented Rs 3000 as cash prize, while runners-up wrestler was given Rs 2000 as cash prize.
The second main bout was won by Kalu, defeating Vicky. Kalu received Rs 2,500, while Vicky got Rs 2,000 as cash prize. The 3rd bout was won by Bobari of Sarore who defeated Wrestler Rajesh sharma of Jindarh of J&K police. Rs 2500 was given to Bobari while Rajesh got Rs 1500. The 4th bout was won by Murad Ali of Domana who defeated Wrestler Prem of Amritsar, while 5th bout was won by Mohd Akram of Jammu who defeated Devinder of Amritsar.
