JAMMU, Oct 27: The Indian Style Wrestling Association expressed concern over the plight of wrestling in the state.
Addressing the media, Prem Chowdhary, chairman of the Indian Style Wrestling Association said that the State Government has failed to provide the necessary infrastructure for the promotion of the game.
He further said that despite medal winning performance by the wrestlers from Jammu, the State Government was not serious in the upliftment of the popular game of Jammu Province.
Prem Chowdhary appealed to the Sports Minister to provide the adequate infrastructure including the Mats and appointment of qualified coaches for different districts of Jammu Province besides regular conduct of wrestling competitions.
Others who were present on the occasion included Anand Lehar, Ved Parkash Vohra, Dogra Harish Kaila, Bodh Raj, Allamahi and Raju pahalwan.
