JAMMU: Gani of Mallerkotla lifted the third Annual Battal Ballian Kesari Dangal title outplaying Her Nek Singh (Neki) in the main bout played at Battal.
The winner pahalwan was presented a cash award of Rs 15,000 while runners-up, Neki got Rs 10,000 from Chief Guest, Pawan Gupta a senior BJP leader and president J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Pawan Khajuria and Raj Kumar Buccha were Guests of Honour.
Total 61 bouts played in this Dangal organised by Pir Baba Dangal committee in association with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
Earlier, the second main bout went to Rehmat Ali of Mallerkotla who defeated Palla of Himachal to fetch a cash prize of Rs 8,000. Loser, Palla got Rs 5,000.
In third main bout, Rafiq of Ludhiana emerged winner outplaying Sukha of Rajasthan while fourth bout was bagged by Davinder of Haryana who beat wrestler Jakker of Jammu. The fifth was clinched by Kulvir Singh of Kot Bhawal beating Vikas of Khanna.
