AIWA कप कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता , पोचन पुर द्वारिका , नई दिल्ली

गुरु चन्दगी राम जी और उनके परिवार ने हिन्दुस्तान में कुश्ती जगत के लिए अनेकों -अनेक कार्य किये हैं ! इस बार उनकी सुपुत्री दीपिका कालीरमण चौधरी ने अपने गाँव पोचन पुर में एक कुश्ती दंगल कराया ! यह कुश्ती दंगल अंतराष्ट्रीय नियमो पर आधारित और मैट पर आयोजित किया गया। दिल्ली और उसके आस पास के शहरों की लगभग 150 बालिकाओं ने इस दंगल में भाग लिया। बहन दीपिका ने मुझे दंगल देखने और दंगल रिपोर्ट बनाने का आमन्त्रण दिया उनके लिए तहे दिल से शुक्रिया। दीपिका गाँव पोचन पुर में महिला पहलवानों को कुश्ती के गुरु सिखा रही हैं , उनका कुश्ती हॉल शानदार है और उसमे आधुनिक कुश्ती के लिए सभी सुविधाएँ मौजूद हैं।
दंगल देखने मेरे साथ अमरीका के मशहूर पहलवान टिमोथी फौली व् अमरीकन लाइब्रेरी के अफसर फिल केनन भी थे , वो विश्व भर में कुश्ती की को सँभालने , व् सुरक्षित रखने के प्रयास में हैं।
अभी हाल ही में हमारे देश के कई महिला और पुरुष पहलवानों ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी पहचान बने है और देश का नाम रोशन किया है। इस तरह देखा जाए तो हमारा देश भारत कुश्ती की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पप्रतियोगिताओं में मैडल का एक प्रबल दावेदार बन कर उभरा हैं। मिटटी के कुश्ती से बच्चों को आधुनिक मैट पर खेलने का अनुभव देने में इस तरह की प्रतियोगिताएं ही वह कारण है जिससे पहलवानों को मैडल लेने का मौका मिलता हैं।
इस प्रतियोगिता में इंतजामों की हालत और कई दंगलों से बेहतर थे , साउंड , अच्छा मैट , पहलवानों की अछे रहने खाने की व्यवस्था , दिल्ली कुश्ती संघ के पदाधिकारियों ने रेफेर्शिप व् मैट ओफिसिअल्स व् जूरी का काम किया। sampre forte में डायरेक्टर श्रीमती सीमा पूरी जी ने , दंगल का उदघाटन कर शुरुआत की , श्री मिथिलेश विद्यार्थी जो देल्ली कराटे संघ के अद्यक्ष हैं उन्होंने दर्शकों को खासतौर पर कामकाजी महिलाओं , बच्चियों को आत्मरक्षा के गुर सिखाये , उनका और उनके बच्चों का प्रदर्शन लाजवाब था।
रामचंद्र जी महिपाल पुर ने गाँव की पुराणी परम्परा की तर्ज पर एक बहुत ही बेहतरीन रागनी गाई जिसमे गाँव के लोगों , गुरु चन्दगी राम जी, दीपिका व् उनकी टीम का कुश्ती के प्रति योगदान की सराहना की गई।
इस प्रतियोगिता में दामिनी को याद किया गया , और एक प्रकार से श्रधान्जली स्वरुप दंगल को दामिनी के प्रति समर्पित भी किया गया। महिला पहलवानों ने अपनी कला को दिखा कर साबित किया की यदि वो भी किसी न किसी प्रकार मेहनत करती रहें तो अपने दुश्मन से अवश्य मुकाबला कर सकती हैं।
कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता में तीन भागों में महिला वर्ग के लिए मुकाबले रखे गए थे जिसमे एवा कप केसरी , एवा कुमारी व् वीरांगना लक्ष्मी बाई अवार्ड , तथा पुरुष वर्ग में एक अवार्ड वीर अभिमन्यु रखा गया था। दंगल में महिला वर्ग में स्टार खिलाडी , गुरशरण प्रीत कौर, अंशु तोमर , सरिता , दिव्या सैन, पूनम, इंदु चौधरी इत्यादि ने भाग लिया।

एवा केसरी का ख़िताब गुरशरण प्रीत कौर ने सरिता को हरा कर जीता , सरिता ने अंशु तोमर को हरा कर फाइनल में प्रवेश किया था। इस प्रकार सरिता दुसरे और अंशु तोमर तीसरे स्थान पर रही।

एवा कुमारी का ख़िताब ललिता ने विमलेश को हराकर जीता , इंदु चौधरी ने तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया।

पुरुष वर्ग के वीर अभिमन्यु वर्ग में पहला स्थान रणबीर सिंह नजफगढ़ , दूसरा स्थान अभिषेक पोचनपुर , और तीसरा स्थान अभिषेक दिल्ली ने जीता


गौरव शर्मा , पंडित योगानंद शाश्त्री जी, ओलम्पिक विजेता , वर्ल्ड चैंपियन पहलवान सुशील कुमार, ममता शर्मा , शूटर समरेश जंग व् जय भगवन ने विजेता खिलाडियों को पदक बाँट कर उनका उत्साह वर्धन किया। अंतर्राष्टीय पहलवान गुरशरण को कुश्ती खेलते देख खिलाडियों को अनुभव प्राप्त हुआ , उन्होंने बाल महिला पहलवानों से बातचीत कर उनको टिप्स दिए और उनकी हौसलाफजाई की।

AIWA cup Wrestling Competition.

I have been writing about the family of guru Chandgi Ram ji for their contribution to the Indian wrestling, many a times, it has been a great pleasure for me to report that this time Deepika Kaliraman, daughter of guru Chandgi Ram ji organized a big wrestling cocmpetion in her village, Pochanpur Dwarika, New Delhi specially for women. She is running an exclusive wrestling school for the training of girls, and many girls of the pochanpur village and nearyby are learning the art of wreslting there. And I am thankful to her for her kind invitation to cover the wrestling competition.

Along with me came Timothy Foley who was visiting from America and has been working and researching various westling traditions globally.

There is an Indian saying: “yasya naaryesu pujite ramante tatr devta” meaning where women are respected gods only live there. It was guru chandgiramji who started the tradition of women wrestling in india starting with his own daughter and that his how the tradition of women wrestling started in india. Now every day the number of women wrestlers is increasing. Women wrestling has now made india proud by getting medals in asian games and commonwealth games, there is one woman geeta phogat who participated in the Olympics too.

This time too the arrangement for the aiwa cup tournament were great, and unlike many competions it was full of every facilities, like good mats, sound system, officials of delhi wrestling federation were there to act as mat officials, there we a folk song prepared for the contribution of the family for the village and the girl damini who was brutally raped and murdered in delhi remembering her.

The AIWA cup has been a success in giving tribute to the brutally raped and assaulted girl damini last month who shaked and stired the conscience of delhi and the rest of the world. Here women wrestler showed their courage and strength to put an example before other women that they are neither way weak from their counterparts men provided they do and learn any form of martial art. A demo of martial art were put before the public showcasing how a girl can save herself from the bad people

There were prizes in three categories in the competition, AIWA kesri cup for the girls above 60 kg, Aiwa kumara cup for girls below 50 and Veerangna Laxmi bai award for girls between weight category of 50-60.

There was one prize category for boys also called Veer Abhimanyu. Cash prizes, medals, certificates and gurj were there for the winner. There prizes for all 5 winners in each category. Even there were prizes for every girl child irrespective of either she wins or looses. In this the competition was really a great event for every girl child participating in it. The prize were distributed by the hands of dignitaries arrived there to watch the match.

Most of the Indian girls in kushti around delhi reached here to compete. Star wrestler like Gursharan preet kaur, anshu tomar, indu chowdhary, ivya sain, sarita, shivani came to compete.

The title was won by Hind Kesri wrestler gursharan preet kaur. She is presently the No. 1 wrestler in Indian subcontinent. She has been CWG and Asian games medlsit and have won many championship at the national level.

The runner up was sarita of sisaay, she proved to be the second very best, indeed if you long onto you tube and watch her fighting you can understand this very well, she defeated Divya Sain, and even Anshu Tomar the big and strong wrestler.
