JAMMU: Gurvinder of Punjab clinched the 66th Londna Kesari dangal title outplaying Amarjeet Khanna of Punjab in the main bout played at Baba Londna Dev Sthan, six kilometers from Udhampur town.
Winner, Gurvinder was given away a cash prize of Rs 4, 000 while runners-up, Amarjeet received Rs 3, 000 as prize money. Prizes were given away by chief guest, state vice president of BJP, Pawan Kumar Gupta. Prize money of Rs 9,000 for the main bout was contributed by Pawan Gupta.
The chief guest was accompanied by president J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, who presided. Industrialist, Darshan Mehra and Raj Kumar Bucha were guests of honour.
In the second main, Puran Singh of Punjab emerged winner beating Kamaljeet (Billa) of Khanna in Punjab. Winner got Rs 3, 000 while runners-up, Kamaljeet bagged Rs 2,000.
The third main bout played between Sainf Ali of Maller Kolta and Bholla of Amritsar ended in a draw after 23 minutes long fight. Both the wrestlers were given away
Rs 1, 500 each.
Gupral of Amritsar won the fourth main bout defeating Babber of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh in the fourth bout.
Dangal was organised by Baba Londna Dev Dangal Committee in association with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
