Abdul Gani of Punjab wins Domana Kesari dangal

JAMMU, Nov 5: Abdul Gani of Mallerkotla in Punjab clinched the 10th Domana Kesari Dangal title outplaying another Punjab wrestler, Shinda of Ludhiana in the main bout that took place at Domana, here.
Gani was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 16,000 while Shinda presented Rs 12,000 by chief guest, Station House Officer (SHO), Vijay Singh, who was accompanied by president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch, Shamsher Singh and Naib Sarpanch, Raj Hussain.
This day-long dangal was witnessed by a huge crowd of wrestling lovers. Dangal was organized by Baba Mir Shah Dangal Committee Domana in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
In the second main bout that lasted for 20 minutes, wrestler Benia of J&K Police beat Dharminder of Alamgir Akhara in Punjab to fetch a cash prize of Rs 16,000. Runners-up, Dharminder got Rs 12,000.
Members and technical committee officials who helped for conduct of smooth Dangal included Sarpanch Shamsher Singh, Naib Sarpanch Raj Hussain, Choudhery Bhutto Khan, Bittu, Parmjeet Pammi, Bodh Raj Balraj, Subash Singh Chib, Mohd. Shariff, Mohd. Fareed, Om Parkash Sharma, Lucky, Romesh Chander (Maheshi), Naresh Kumar, Shamsher Singh.
The details: Murad Ali of Domana beat Goalu of Ludhiana, Jakker of Sarore beat Surinder Bral of Amritsar, Kaka of R.S Pura beat Lalli of Alamgir,Rafiq of Ludhiana beat Narinder of PAP Jallandher, Ranjeet of Ludhiana beat Gurlal of Pakhowali. Bouts between Johny of Amritsar and Kalu of Bishnah and Mohd. Akram of Domana and Inderjeet of Amritsar ended in a draw.
