हरयाणा के सोनीपत जिले में , बहाल गढ़ के पास खेवड़ा गांव है। गाँव में कुश्ती की शानदार परंपरा है। इसी गाँव के विक्की भाई मेरे मित्र हैं , वह स्वयं भी पहलवान रह चुके हैं, और कुश्ती प्रेमी , सुशिक्षित और मिलनसार प्रविर्ती के नौजवान हैं. जब मै सीनियर नेशनल कि कवरेज के लिए कोलकाता में था तो और उनसे बातचीत में उन्होंने मुझे अपने गाँव के दंगल में बुलाने का वादा किया था , जो उन्हें याद रहा और उन्होंने 5 तारीख को अपने गाँव में स्वर्गीय महेंदर पहलवान व् स्वर्गीय अशोक पहलवान कि याद में होने वाले विशाल दंगल में याद किया उनका शुक्रगुजार हूँ, उन्होंने वहीँ दंगल कमेटी के प्रधान भाई सिकंदर अंतिल, व् रिंकू पहलवान से भी मिलवाया। सिकंदर व् रिंकू इंटरनेशनल पहलवान रह चुके हैं, कुश्ती के प्रति उनका अगाध प्रेम है, अपने गाँव में होने वाले दंगल में उन्होंने देश के स्टार पहलवानो को कुश्ती दिखने का निमंत्रण दिया। दंगल में कुश्ती खेल से जुड़े गणमान्य व्यक्ति भी पहुंचे। जहाँ एक और हिन्द केसरी पहलवान किरशन , सत्यव्रत , नरेश , वर्ल्ड चैंपियनशिप ब्रोंज मेडलिस्ट बजरंग, रजनीश , अनिल , व् कई अंतररास्ट्रीय खिलाडियों ने कुश्ती दिखा कर जनता का मन मोह लिया , वहीँ एक महिला बाल पहलवान शीतल ने ४ कुश्तियां जीत कर महिला कुश्ती के सुनहरे भविष्य कि और इशारा किया। दंगल में राजेश पहलवान , राजकुमार पहलवान , राहुल पहलवान, देवेंदर पहलवान, हरीश पहलवान व् बादल पहलवान विशिष्ट अतिथि रहे. दया सिंह प्रधान, टीनू पहलवान, प्रवीण पहलवान व् मंजीत पहलवान ने दंगल का संचालन व् व्यवस्था सम्भालने का काम बखूबी किया , दंगल सुचारू रूप व् शान्ति से चलता रहा ऐसी व्यवस्था बहुत कम देखने को मिलती हैं, भाई विक्की ने पहलवानो के मिलवाये और इनाम तय किया। सिकंदर भाई ने दंगल में आये सभी गुरु खलीफाओं , च गणमान्य व्यक्तियों का एक शाल, घडी व् नकद मान सम्मान किया जीने अर्जुन अवार्डी भाई धरमेंदर दलाल,देश कि शान पहलवान योगेश्वर,अमित कुमार,, जोगेंदर,राजकुमार, प्रताप स्कूल के प्रधानचार्य , डाक्टर भरद्वाज व् अनेक महानुभाव रहे. दंगल कि पहली कुश्ती कृषण पहलवान ने शानदार अंदाज में जीती,वहीँ स्टीवर्ट ने नरेश पहलवान को सांडी तोड़ कर चित्त किया , बजरंग पहलवान ने भी देर तक चली कुश्ती में शानदार विजय हासिल की , वहीँ प्रवीण राणा , अनिल व् रजनीश अपनी कुश्तियों में बराबरी पे छूटे। हिंदुस्तान के स्टार पहलवानो के शामिल होने से दंगल शानदार रहा और कुश्तियों के इतिहास में इस दंगल का नाम सुनहरे पन्नो में लिखा जाएगा। एक बार सभी आयोजकों को इतना शानदार दंगल कराने और विक्की भाई और सिकंदर भाई ने मुझे जो मान सम्मान दिया उसके लिए सब का शुक्रिया अदा करता हूँ। दंगल कि सभी कुश्तियों को आप मेरे youtube channel पे "ansuia1974" देख सकते हैं , और दंगल के फ़ोटो व् विस्तृत रिपोर्ट आप मेरे वेबसाइट KUSHTIWRESTLING.BLOGSPOT.IN पे देख सकते हैं !
ENGLISH VERSION
When I was covering the senior wrestling championship in Kolkata a few months ago, I met a well-educated young wrestler named Vicky who told me about a dangal he and his brother Sikandar Antil were organizing in their village in Haryana.
Village Khevda has a great tradition of kushti and has produced many great wrestlers. When I reached the venue, Vicky introduced me to Sikandar Antil, Rinku and other members of the dangal committee who gave me a warm welcome. Sikandar and Rinku are a very good veteran wrestlers. They have participated in many international events and are well-known in the wrestling fraternity.
They have invited almost all the big stars of Indian wrestling, including Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt, Bajrang, Amit Kumar, Dharmender Dalal, Rajukumar, Rajneesh, Satyvart, Krishan, Naresh, Anil Kumar and many others.
Vicky told me that this was the inaugural competition organized in the memory of Lat. Sh. Mahinder pahlwan and late shri Ashok Palhlwan.
Before the start of the big matches, the younger wrestlers came out to compete. There was no women’s competition, but one female wrestler named Sheetal, the daughter of Ompal Pahlwan took on several male wrestlers and defeated them.
In the main event, Krishan Kumar pinned a heavier opponent with a gareat technique to win first price. In another exciting bout, Bajrang who won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Budapest last year, pinned his opponent. Asian Games and Commonwealth Games medalist Sataywarat went up against Hind Kesri Naresh, while international medalists Rajnessh and Anil wrestled their opponents to a draw.
Dharmender Dalal, principla pratap school dahiya ji , Dr. Bhardwaj, Yogeshwar Pahlwan, Amit Kumar Pahlwan, Joginder Pahlwan, Rajesh Pahlwan, Rajkumar Pahlwan, Rahul Pahlwan, Devender Pahlwan , Harish Pahlwan, Badal Pahlwan, Daya Singh Pradhan, Teenu Pahlwan, Praveen Pahlwan, Manjit Pahlwan, and many other were the special guests of the dangal. They all were honored before the crowd, including me, thanks to Vicky, Sikandar and Rinku.
The dangal was a great success and a rare opportunity to see so many great wrestlers competing and watching. I thank again Vicky, Sikandar antil and Rinku and the village committee for putting on such a good show.
