Chandigarh, Nov 22 (PTI) Haryana government has decided to soon open a Wrestling Academy in Jhajjar district to promote traditional sports among the enthusiastic youth of the state. Member of Parliament from Rohtak Deepender Singh Hooda today said that he would propose to Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to open this Academy at Bahadurgarh sub-division of the district.
Deepender was addressing a gathering at a function organised to felicitate Wrestler Praveen Tehlan at village Jassorkheri of Bahadurgarh who had brought laurels to the country by winning the bronze medal at Canada World Cup Wrestling Championship, an official release said here. The people of village Jassorkheri gave a warm welcome to the wrestler for excelling at an international event.
Congratulating Praveen Tehlan for his achievement, the young MP said that it was a matter of extreme pride for the people of this area that Praveen had achieved success at the international arena. He said that Wrestler of village Asodha, Rajanish Dalal had also been victorious in this championship, thus both the wrestlers had made the people of the area and country proud.
