One-day wrestling championship was organized by District Police Doda under the aegis of civic action programe launched by J&K Police at Balgran (Goha) in Marmat Block of Doda District.
As per a handout issued here a large number of people witnessed the event. SSP Doda Vairender Sharma IPS, was chief guest on the occasion who distributed prizes among the winners. About 40 wrestlers from different parts of District Doda and Jammu region participated in the event. 26 matches/events were played during the championship.
Ather Deen of Kathua District was declared as winner in final event who was presented with cash prize and a trophy where as Sonu of Pathankote was declared as runner up who was presented with a cash prize of five thousand and shawl.
All the participants in the wrestling championship were awarded with suitable cash prizes. Addl. SP Bhaderwah, SP Hqrs Doda, Dy SP Hqrs Doda and Dy SP DAR Doda were also present on the occasion.
